Getting to the IV GF
The IV Global Forum on Fighting Corruption (IV GF) will be held in Brazil's capital city of Brasilia. Founded in 1960, the city is located in Brazil's Center-West region on a vast Central Plateau.
Designed by the Brazilian urbanist Lucio Costa, the city of almost 2.3 million inhabitants has unique characteristics that distinguish it from any other city in the world. Some of the most notable features include the city's broad avenues, ample gardens and plentiful trees, the residential areas known as “super-blocks,” and an organizational structure defined by specific functional sectors. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) declared Brasilia's Pilot Plan (Plano Piloto) a World Heritage Site in recognition of the originality and significance of its urban design.
The Blue Tree Alvorada Complex, site of the IV Global Forum, is located on the Lago Paranoá, next to the Palácio da Alvorada, the official residence of the President of Brazil. The event will include transportation services for all participants.
