Audit and Inspection
The Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) is the agency of the Federal Executive Branch in charge of, among other tasks, carrying out audits and inspection activities to check how public money is being used.
This task is carried out by CGU through the Federal Internal Control Secretariat, which is the unit in charge of evaluating the execution of Federal Government budgets, inspecting the implementation of governmental programs, and auditing the management of federal public funds under the responsibility of public and private agencies and organizations, among other functions.
